I started this blog to inform people of India that DO NOT PURCHASE any thing from IndiaTodayBookClub.com or BagItToday.com.
This both site are from IndiaToday Group of people but both are BIG Fraud site. I don't understand why this type of Big Group done this Fraud with Indian People!
Their sales team members are very smart. On selling time they offer you many offers or contest winning or prices with your purchase. But after purchase NO ONE ans you! Even their support team reply and tell you that their own sales team member given you wrong details! This is only if you send them many emails OR call them many times. Otherwise nothing!
You loose your money + valuable time + Did not get product or get wrong product + Not get gift or price as per their offer!
So, be careful and DO NOT PLACE any order...

Holiday voucher fraud by IndiaTodayBookClub.com

months back AMT RS. 5949 and has given three option of different dates,but
i have not recieved any information regarding this till today

3. The staff is adept at giving wrong information just to grab orders.
4. The problems will never be redressed satisfactorily.
This is the worst and most hellish experience of online shopping that i had.
I was trying to place an online order for Reebok track suit online on bag it today website on 03/02/10 which was aborted by me . However within half hour of the aborted transaction, I got a call from India today book club who told me that since my order did not go through online, I can place my order on the phone. (This is blatant information stealing... i was stupid enough to ignore it that time and now i am regretting)
The staff thus solicited an order through phone and I placed an order through my credit card for a Reebok track suit, size Small on 03/02/2010. Since it is my first order on the site, I had also been promised the free Reebok Watch. I was also informed that the order will be delivered within 15 days and that i will receive a confirmation of my order placement on sms as well as in my e-mail.
However no confirmation happened either on mail or phone . Finally I phoned the so called customer care helpline on 09/02/2010 where i was told that "my order is not punched in the system" . However, my credit card was debited on 03/02/2010!! On not receiving any satisfactory reply on phone, I emailed them immediately with all details. i got a reply the next day, hwoever i was told that i will not be getting the promised free watch as the order was not online.
following this, I asked them to cancel my order immediately to which i was told that my order is already "completely processed" so it cannot be cancelled . however i can "refuse to accept the parcel" when it arrives.(!!) However. i am told that the parcel will arrive in 21 days!!
The cheating/ fraud is evident besides the following issues :
1. the wrong information provided to me at the time of placing the order : To top it the "customer care" is refusing to acknowledge this. On 11/02 when i asked them to check the phone records for 03/02..i was told that it will take "10 days" to retrieve phone records. on telling them that the complaint was already logged on 09/02 when i had called and emailed for the first time, , i was told that there is no record of that call and since i had not spoken to the person currently handling the call.! This is PITS!
2. If the telesales departments is different from online shopping, Why is my online order/information available to them who called me within half hour of my incomplete online transaction and had access to all the information like my address etc. which I had provided online. Since the "scheme" applicable is not the same, they should not have any access to this information. To top it all they gave me completely wrong information even on repeatedly confirming.
3. Refusing to cancel the order forthwith when it is not despatched.
4. No mechanism of cancelling the order.
5. The telephone call on 3/2/10 when the original order was solicited should be traced and analysed for all the false statements given by their staff.
Alert all customers, India Today Shopping Book club is biggest cheater
I have got a call from India Today shopping (Bag it today) sale deptt. on dtd. 06.12.09 that i m the one of prize winner out of first three against their prize scheme of 08lac and to qualify that i have to purchase a samsung mobile or a digital camera and they also inform me that i will get one reebok watch and a gift coupan of Rs.5000/- for purchase some surat jwellery.
Secondely their advertisment mail also showing free gift near about Rs.14 thousand.
When i got my delivery on 16th dec 09, i was surprised to note that their is not any gift with my mobile set and they mention to go site of bookclub to claim it.
Ok , i do that and when i go in this site , they r giving offer of 02 days of holiday in hotel and for which they again demanding rs800/- for service.
On phone they have also not confirm me that they will adding Rs.499/- for courier.
And also note this samsung mobile is easily available in market in Rs.8500/-
If i add RS.9000/- of mobile cost + 500/- courier charges than it comes Rs.9500/- and they charge from Rs.10098/- and they r not giving detail of this amount to me.
I had sended three reminders to them but they r not replying to me.
Because they all r the cheaters.
My Demand from them:-
1.My reward of Rs. 08 lac / 04 lac / or 01 lac as their sale person confirm me ( as per him it is 110% confirm )
2.my free gift watch
3.my jwelley coupan
4.and inform we what is the detail of Rs 10098/- u charged from me.
As i m not a rich person belonging to middle class and they taken my hard work money by misguiding me.

Non refund from india today book club
This is with ref to my Order # 110039626 dated 09th Sept' 09 for a Samsung Star Touch Phone worth Rs. 9498, the order for which was cancelled on 15th Sept'09 due to the inept handling of my case and also due to circumstances beyond my control.
On cancellation, i was told by the customer support executive that the refund of the money to my credit card account will take 25 - 28 days. It is nearly 35 days and i am yet to receive the refund for the same. I have been regularly writing to India Today Book Club on their email id which was given to me by the customer support executive i.e. itbc@indiatodaybookclub.com for which i have not been getting any response from their side. The call centre no that they have displayed is pathetic, you are put on hold for such a long time that you lose patience. Sometimes i have been kept on hold for nearly 30 mts and they have not responded and had to disconnect my line.
Is India Today book club really a part of the INDIA TODAY GROUP, if so then the respect that i had for this group has gone. I also request you to please give me the email id of the chairman of the group, so that i can write to him highlighting my case and also take up the case of the others in ensuring that they work in a more professional manner.
Hope that ITBC will respond to this complaint and ensure that my refund is effected on an immediate basis.

Fraud India Today Book
Dear Sir,
In the month of November i received a call from India Today Book Club, where the executive informed me a offer for Rs.3198.00, that i can go to any place in India in 3 - 5 star rated hotel for 2 nights 3 days stay free, with lunch and dinner and with to and fro air ticket. When i confirm yes, after few days i received a courier contaiing CDs and Novels amounting to Rs.3198.00. When my son refused the courier the courier person said it is free of cost. After that i informed the India today book club several times via email, i was told to send the parcel back and they will refund it. But when i sent the parcel by courier it was returned and the courier person said that it was refused. i have sent many emails but no reply. These people have cheated me and i want my money back. Kindly please help. The details of Invoice sent and my membership No.is ITBC09150293.
Please help me in this.
